Job Summary

Support talent development processes aligned with DTE Energy aspirations and priorities. Design and develop and implement formal and informal programs to develop DTE Energy’s leadership talent. Partner with leaders and provide development tools, resources, and support for individual and group development. Coordinate Organization Development programs and interventions. Manage projects and external vendors who provide services and products for learning. Provide support in external vendor selection, management and service evaluation. Develop and implement evaluation and assessment strategies.

Key Accountabilities

-Design, develop and implement leadership and professional development curriculum and programming across the enterprise.

-Ensure proper planning and execution of curriculum and projects.

-Identify course content through collaboration with SME’s, write course outlines, design and produce course materials including facilitator guides, student materials and supporting course tools.

-Develop innovative formal and informal learning and development tools.

-Facilitate instructor led programs.

-Identify, partner and build relationships with selected vendors and external consultants to deliver appropriate development solutions to the organization.

-Keep abreast of best practices in management & leadership development

-Coach learners and other leaders to support individual development goals achievement.

-Collaborate with internal and external OD professionals.

-Partner closely with HR Relationship Managers to provide support on leadership development.

-Apply continuous improvement methodologies to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of course design, delivery, and sustainment.

-Develop training evaluation strategies and individual assessment approaches to evaluate ROI for programs.


-Master's degree in Organizational Development, Instructional Design, Organizational Behavior, Industrial/Organizational Psychology or, MBA with concentration of Organizational Development, Organizational Behavior, or Management Science.

-Five to seven years’ experience in a learning development or OD role that includes designing, developing and delivering leadership development programs and resources.

-Demonstrated ability to communicate well with others. Proficient verbal, non-verbal, written, and presentation skills.

-Experience with group facilitation, organization design, and job design preferred.

-Demonstrated ability with Project Management techniques and tools; accurately estimate, track, and manage project costs.

-Experience with group facilitation, and design of team building tools.

-Prefer experience with and functional knowledge of virtual and web based learning and learning strategies.
